As you know, all of us are adapting to how COVID is changing our academic experience.  The impact on Madison public elementary schools is particularly large given that children under the age of 12 cannot yet be vaccinated.  
We had hoped to resume in-person CS 402 clubs this Fall semester, but, unfortunately, MMSD (Madison Metro School District) recently announced that they are not yet allowing volunteers into their buildings and many school start and dismissal times have changed because of too few bus drivers.  
As a result, CS 402 must make numerous changes to our after-school weekly clubs.    We are working hard to adjust our plans for CS 402 in order to reach as many kids as possible, but no one knows exactly what is going to happen this Fall.  Being flexible and accommodating is one of the required strengths for community-based learning, such as in CS 402.
We are currently planning that most, but probably not all, of our Fall clubs will be on-line (we have experience with on-line clubs from last year).  Most of our clubs will be held at slightly different times than originally scheduled.  Not every club has confirmed their plans for the Fall.  Some clubs have had to cancel.
