Week 9: Microaggession A

  • Due Nov 3, 2021 by 11:59pm
  • Points 5
  • Submitting a text entry box
  • Available after Nov 3, 2021 at 5:30pm

Assume after you have been leading your Scratch club for a number of weeks, you gradually realize that you've been unintentionally ignoring one "group" of kids while paying much more attention to another "group" (e.g., you tend not to call on kids from one group during your lessons and tend to not pick them as volunteers for your activities).

With your team co-leaders, discuss this situation and answer the following questions as a group:

a) How would it make you feel to realize you have been doing this?

b) How do you think the kids in the ignored group would feel and what could be the result?

c) How would you like your co-leaders to handle this situation?

d) What will you do to rectify this situation?  Why do you think that will help?
