Just like Cura is the slicing software for the Ultimakers, the software Preform is used to slice STL files and generate tool paths for the Form 2 printers. In this case, the tool pathing is for the laser and not the nozzle. Summary of Steps

  1. Download the Bucky STL File
  2. Import STL file into PreForm
  3. Repair the STL (if necessary)
  4. Manually Orient the Part
  5. Auto Generate Support
  6. Iterate orientation until you do not have any auto-generated support on the front face of the model (e.g. the face, chest, etc.) of Bucky.
  7. Export (Save) the file as a .form file and upload to Canvas.

 

Deliverables

  • A Formlabs project file (.form) of the sliced Bucky STL file.
