We will have a mid-project review of all groups. Each group will present the current status of their projects and the next steps. I understand it's not a lot of time (especially given current circumstances) since you submitted your project proposal. But let's use this time to explain your project to all of your peers and get some feedback. Take this as an opportunity to advertise your project to the whole class.
Each student will review all projects except their own. See the template for reviewing bellow.
Presenters: Make a xx min* presentation. You must first introduce to the audience about the project goals and challenges. Talk about your high-level approach to the project. Remember they have not seen your project proposal. Next, talk about what have you done so far (which can be experiments, related work search, systems building), some preliminary results that you have obtained, and what is your timeline for the next 30 days to finish the project. You can give some demos of your work so far if you want.
* xx min = floor(70 min / # of presentation per day) - 5; # of presentation per day can be found on the class schedule.
Reviewers: After each presentation, the peers (reviewers) will have 5 min to ask clarifying questions and give their constructive feedback. Write about what things you liked about the project/presentation/approach, and what other work you think could add significant value to the project. While talking about improvements, you might try to think of what related questions to the project that the authors could explore, is there any other approach that you know might be useful in the project, are there other places the authors' approach might be useful, etc.
You have to submit this assignment by adding reviews for all of the projects except yours as discussion replies.
