Week 9: Microaggression B

After you've been leading a very enjoyable Scratch club for a few weeks, one of your co-leaders makes fun of one of the kids because they have never seen a Harry Potter movie.

With your team co-leaders, discuss this situation and answer the following questions:

a) What do you think your co-leader was intending or meaning when they made that comment? 

b) What could be the possible reasons why the child has never seen that movie?  After this comment, how do you think the teased child may have felt and what could be the on-going result?

c) What will you, personally, do to rectify this situation?  Why do you think that will help? 

d) What do you think your co-leader should do in response and why?
