Overview: TEAM-Lab & Makerspace Training Offerings

The training offerings are categorized as: Permits & Upgrades, Learning Modules and Workshops. Each is slightly different and serves a unique purpose (see below). Click here Links to an external site. for a complete list of the current training offerings.

This Canvas page can be used to track student attendance to these trainings in a centralized location. Learning Module content is housed here, and progress can be monitored by checking the completion of quizzes, tutorials, and DIY projects. Students will have to upload confirmation for completion of training offerings that are not Learning Modules (i.e. Permits, Permit Upgrades, and Workshops). There are assignments on this Canvas page for these submissions with instructions for students.

Incorporating Training Offerings Into Your Course

Instructors can require a combination of these training offerings as part of their course. The system is flexible and can be accommodated to whatever structure fits your goals best. An example of that structure can be found here:

At a minimum, students must complete the following training offerings at TEAM-Lab and the Makerspace: the Red Permit plus one Upgrade one Learning Module and one Workshop. Students are strongly encouraged but not required to complete the Green Permit plus additional Upgrades, Learning Modules and Workshops.
