As mentioned before, choices made during slicing can greatly influence how your final part turns out (if it even does print successful). Using your knowledge and wisdom about 3D printing, print the #3DBenchy you just sliced in the previous assignment using Cura and either an Ultimaker 3 or S5.
You are must slice the part using parameters that you think will optimize the part either for quality or speed. The only parameter you should not change is the size, keep it at 100% scale and you should use PLA as the material.
After printing your part, take a picture of it and write a short summary of the experience. Comment about how you optimized the slicing and if you think it was successful or not. If the part did not turn out as you had hoped, hypothesize about what might have contributed to this. If your part did turn out as expected, what might you have done to further optimize it? Don't forget that you know the dimension of the part as designed, http://www.3dbenchy.com/dimensions/ Links to an external site.. How did your part compare to how it was designed?
