Simple Home Page with links to pages (for Module or Page Based Courses)
This homepage example uses links to module introduction pages so students can navigate from the homepage.
Students can still go to Modules to navigate through the course. However, in this example the intention is that students click on the links below and are taken directly to a page that introduces the module. Then they use the "Back" and "Next" buttons at the bottom of each page to navigate through the module files and activities.
This example would also be appropriate for a page based course.
Welcome to [INSERT COURSE NAME]

Course at a Glance: The reading, media, assignments, and discussions for this course are organized by weekly modules. Use the links below to go to the introduction page for each module. Then, use the "Next" and "Back" buttons to move through the modules. (The links are inactive in this example)
- Start Here: Course Overview
- Week 1: [Theme]
- Week 2: [Theme]
- Week 3: [Theme]
- Week 4: [Theme]
Another Option might be to break the modules down by class. Each link would link to an introductory page. That would look like:
- Start Here: Course Overview
-
Week 1
- Lecture 1
- Lecture 2
- Lab
-
Week 2
- Lecture 1
- Lecture 2
- Lab
