Stata's margins command is a very powerful tool for understanding complex regression results - but the documentation is a bit overwhelming. The resources below include videos and articles I have found helpful in getting the most out of this command. I hope you do too!

  • Richard William's slides - the syntax here is a bit out of date but the intuitive explanations with examples are excellent! He also wrote an article available here.
  • This may seem like a weird one - it is explaining margins to a SAS user. I found it helpful because it talks about the derivatives margins is computing. Your mileage may vary...
