Revise your Research Idea to Articulate Policy Relevance

  • Due Jun 14, 2022 by 8am
  • Points 0
  • Submitting a file upload

Before beginning this assignment, please return and look for feedback on your first submission. Do NOT resubmit there.

If you are new to Canvas, here are some helpful instructions for viewing feedback. Please look for both comments & annotations.

How does what you learned today about Social Insurance change your research idea?

Please prepare a revised copy of your idea with the following additions:

  1. Add a section above JSIT Research Idea Development Template labeled Feedback Received & Changes Made. Summarize the feedback you received on your initial submission here (bullet points are helpful) and what changes you made in response. If your idea has totally changed, that's OK. We still want to know what prompted the change. Providing this information helps to ensure we're clearly communicating with you and not providing conflicting advice in subsequent rounds.
  2. Revise content under items 1-7. You can track changes if you like but you don't have to if it's too messy. The Feedback Received & Changes Made will help us see the evolution of your work without the mark-up.
  3. Add an 8th item called "Policy Relevance" and under it, try to complete these sentences applying what you learned about SSA programs today:

This research question is important to SSA because _____ (why). SSA would use the findings from this research in the following way ___ (how).

Submit your revised work here for another round of feedback.
