Before the workshop, please read the following briefs on about Social Security programs by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. We will be referring to these programs frequently so having some basic background will help you out.
You might also want to take a look at the Identity Scenario you have been assigned (next assignment in the module) so you have a lens through which to consider the programs you're reading about - we will talk about the Identity Scenario activity on Monday afternoon.
