Before jumping into a lot of Canvas training, it will be wise to have a common understanding of a most fundamental element of the Canvas environment: namely, that of the Canvas course shell. Review this material for a solid foundation on course shells.
Learning the basics in Canvas
Learn the basics about the most common components of a Canvas course: files, pages, assignments, quizzes, discussions, modules and announcements. Whether you are building course content from scratch, or you are importing pre-existing materials and updating it, this training material is a great first step.
Be mindful: This section will be the most time-consuming portion of your learning curve in Canvas. Be patient with yourself and the process.
