Engage eText Student Access Course

Engage eText Student Access Course

Students are encouraged to access Engage eTexts via the Canvas course they originally accessed Engage eTexts with. However if an instructor has limited access to the course after the end of the term then this course provides an alternative method to access Engage:

  1. Make sure that you are logged into Canvas. If the icon below the UW-Madison logo in the upper left shows a key, click it to login to Canvas:

If you've already logged in it will say Account instead with either a generic icon or a picture that you may have uploaded of yourself, then you can skip this step and continue to the next step.

  2. LeftArrow.png To access Engage click the Engage eText menu option in the course navigation on the left.

  3. Depending on your browser setting, you may need to click on the purople Launch Unizin Engage button:

Alternately, your browser may automatically load Unizin Engage in another tab. If you have never launched Engage before, you may also need to scroll through and accept the end user license agreement.

If you click Engage eText and see a message that says "Oops! There was an error processing your request. Our engineers have been notified" you forgot step one. Click the Login icon in the upper left to login to Canvas first and then click the Engage eText course menu option.

  4. By default, you should see the SANDBOX - 101 UW-Madison Sandbox eText Course with a copy of the instructions in it:

  5. Select the appropriate Term of the course's eText you want to access from the upper left corner:

Engage will display the Engage eText courses you previously accessed from the term you select. Click on the appropriate eText to access it.
